Since late May “Yellow” – the digital media side of Yellow Pages has run series of small business education and networking events around New Zealand – commencing in the North Island town of Whangarei and working south through 12 major and provincial cities. Misha’s Vineyard was invited to be one of the presenters at the three events held in the South Island starting in Nelson on June 11th then Christchurch on 18th June and Dunedin on 21st June. Our topic – “Relentless Marketing” – looking at some of the ways small business can apply corporate marketing principals into their brands. Misha (in Nelson and Christchurch), and Andy (in Dunedin), joined presenters from SHE Chocolat, Google, Telecom/Gen-i, BNZ Bank, StartSocial, Icebreaker and many other companies in sharing their experiences with small and medium business owners. Almost 3,000 small and medium business will have attended the seminars by the conclusion of the series next week.
As part of the events, presenters were able to display their products around the networking area, and to meet many of the people attending. We also gave away a bottle of The High Note Pinot Noir in a wooden presentation box, to lucky winners at each session.
It was a great initiative by Yellow – and well supported by the businesses community.
