Our premium Verismo Pinot Noir is carefully selected from just three small areas on the vineyard where we manage our vines to very low cropping levels with high levels of light exposure and careful canopy management. The wine is matured in 300 litre hogshead French oak for over 12 months with average of 45% of the wine in new oak. After blending the wine is returned to barrel for further maturation for several months prior to bottling. These back vintage releases are exceptional value. Carefully stored in a temperature controlled warehouse and now ready to drink, or keep for many more years.
2008 Vintage
Dark purple-red hues with an intense spice-laden aroma of cherry and plum over black forest gateaux create the first impression. The palate opens quickly with a broad spectrum of warm red fruits which are balanced by a tight structure of supple but dense plum-stone and vanilla pod tannins.
2009 Vintage
With fragrant aromas of raspberry, dark plum and cinnamon, this is a Pinot Noir that entices with its brooding sense of depth. The rich and warm palate is enveloped by red velvet tannins that unfold and caress.
2010 Vintage
A special vineyard selection has produced a Pinot Noir with intense aromas of raspberry, spices and chocolate. The palate of dense red fruits is gentle and has a finish that lingers with sweet vanilla and plum stone tannins.
2011 Vintage
Dark ruby with intense pure aromas of crushed cherries and spice overlaid with classic Pinot Noir notes of violet, this wine has a full but beautifully supple palate with sweet ripe fruits balanced by a fresh mineral and cedar spice edge.
2012 Vintage
Medium-dark red, this Pinot Noir has a bouquet of Turkish delight, chocolate and plum with a palate of tight dense concentrated sweet red fruits and fine tannins. Whilst attractive in its youth this wine will evolve gracefully for many years.
2013 Vintage
Medium-dark red, a complex yet delicate aroma of raspberry, rose petals and liquorice. The palate is sweet, rich and dense with hints of violets, nutmeg and wood smoke. Fine polished tannins will allow this wine to age gracefully and reward with cellaring.
2014 Vintage
Ruby in colour, this Pinot Noir has a restrained nose with hints of dark cherry, thyme and liquorice and an elegant palate dense with red fruits poised over chocolate and coffee bean tannins.
2015 Vintage
Medium-dark ruby red colour with a dense nose of dark chocolate, leather and roses, the palate of this Pinot Noir is fine and pure with polished tannins, sweet fruit and a lingering finish of warm chocolate and oak.
2016 Vintage
Medium-dark red, this Pinot Noir has a bouquet of red fruits with hints of violets, vanilla and cardamom spices, and a long silken palate of red fruits poised over fine coffee bean tannins.
2018 Vintage
A complex nose of baked plum and dark chocolate with notes of sweet cigar box oak, this Reserve Pinot Noir has a generous but delicate palate of dark red fruits with a long lingering finish. Will cellar for 15+ years.
